Advert standards
Every listing real, current and in its field.
Specialists come back to a board they can trust. These are the checks that keep ours worth coming back to, and why your advert is seen by people who believe it.
The life of a listing
From the moment it’s posted to the day it closes, on all 16 boards.
-
Step 1
A person reads it
Every paid advert is read and approved by someone on our team before it publishes, and we confirm the poster can act for the company.
-
Step 2
It fits the field
Roles we collect from careers sites are scored against the board’s definition of its field. Ones that don’t belong come off.
-
Step 3
One role, one listing
The same role from the same company in the same place is merged into one listing, however many places we find it.
-
Step 4
It comes down when it closes
Every day, adverts past their closing date and roles gone from the employer’s site are removed, and Google is told.
-
Step 5
Anyone can report it
Every job page has a “Report this job” link, and a person on our team reviews each report.
What it means for your advert
- It isn’t buried under spam, duplicates or roles from another field.
- Specialists trust what they find, so they read and apply.
- Your role stays live for its whole run, then comes down cleanly.
What it means for candidates
- Every role is in their field, and still open.
- Closed roles come down, and one role is one listing.
- Anything that looks wrong can be reported to a person.
Good Faith Hiring
We go further, and lead the open standard for honest hiring.
Pay on the advert, only real roles, every application acknowledged and every interviewee given feedback. Free for any employer to adopt, and never a condition of advertising with us.
Questions about our standards
Something we haven’t covered? A person on our team will answer.
Ask us a question-
A person reads every paid advert before it goes live, usually within a couple of hours and always inside one working day.
-
Before someone’s first advert goes live, we confirm they can act for the company. It keeps fake roles and scams off the boards, which is why candidates trust what they find there.
-
Each board has a written definition of its field. Roles we collect from employers’ careers sites are scored against it, and a role that doesn’t belong, or looks like spam, is taken off.
-
Every day we take down adverts past their closing date, and imported roles that are no longer on the employer’s site, and tell Google they have gone.
-
Use the “Report this job” link on the job page. A person on our team reviews every report.
